Tonight during dinner we were talking about names. I was telling all the
kids their full names. Then we got to Grandpa Nielsen's name
(Christopher Wayne Nielsen). As soon as I was done Ella made an "Oooooo"
and said, "Just like Winnie the Pooh's Christopher Robin"....then Eden
quickly chimed in "I LOVE that name!".
We watched Stake conference last Sunday at our building on a screen
being broadcasted from our Stake Center. Then this past Saturday we went
to the Stake Center for a baptism. While we were sitting in the chapel
waiting for it to start. Ella was looking around and then she looked at
me and said, "This was the church we saw on the screen! Can we come here
next time instead of watching it on the screen!" I was so impressed
that she could pick out the variations between buildings and know that
was where we were. Especially since when we were watching it most of it
was zoomed in on the speaker. That girl really can see all the details
:) (our own little Sean Spencer--a reference to the show Psych)
I was throwing a baby shower for one my friends on Sat morning. I
was running around trying to get that last min stuff done. I asked
Gordon if he would go upstairs and get dressed. The next thing I new he
was at my side and said, "I am ready for the party." I turned around to
see that he had gotten on his red, white and blue plaid shorts on, with
his hunter green and blue plaid shirt adorned with his brown and blue
bow tie. They all had blue in them ;) I gave him a BIG hug and told him
he looked so handsome...ready for a party!
For Father's Day Ella's class filled out an "All about Dad" page:
My Dad's Favorite thing to do is ride his bike
The show my Dad likes best to watch on TV is a bike movie
My Dad really likes to eat celery with potatoes
The silliest thing my Dad does is make faces
My Dad's favorite color is every single one
When my Dad leave the house, he goes to work where he does...I don't know
My Dad's best friend is named 'aunt' Jorgan
My Dad loves it when I try to make him smile
The nicest thing my Dad does is give me wrestle hugs and kisses
If My Dad could go anywhere, he would go to work
If I could give me Dad anything it would be my dolly
We love you all!!!

Just a few for this past week..
Sending all our love!
Mom: "You are dirty. When we get home we will have to throw you into tub."
Eden: "That makes me afraid!"
Mom: "Why, you take baths all the time"
Eden: "No, I am afraid of the 'throw' "
We were riding in the car And Eden had said something like "I want to do that right now!" Ella chimed in from the back and said, "Eden, you said 'I want to do that right now' but you could say it like this 'I would like to do that, please.'.....Do you see the difference?"
Gordon is really into playing Monopoly. He asks to play it everyday...pretty much all day. It has been really fun!
Russell had his two month check up and he weighed in at just over 13 pounds and 25 1/2 inches long. He is growing SO quickly! Just love this little boy!
A BIG Hello to Mildred!! I love getting your messages on the phone. I always smile when I hear them ;) And hoping I get my quite moment to call you sooner than later! I am so grateful to Janet for printing them and mailing them to you. Sending our love!

The kids were playing in the backyard this afternoon and Ella and Gordon
had come inside. I didn't see Eden so I went to check on her to make
sure she was okay. When I peeked my head out the back I saw her up on
our picnic table singing and dancing her little heart out..until she saw
me that is. Then she got embarrassed and asked me to go back inside. As
soon as I shut the sliding glass door she was back to her song and
dance :)
This morning Gordon asked if we could go and play at Natalie's house (a friend in the ward). I explained to him that everyone in their family has pink eye right now and that it is very contagious so we can't play with them until they are better. Eden quickly chimed in and said, "yeah they can't come over until they have blue eyes...not pink eyes!"
We took the kids to this little Mexican restaurant to get some dinner on Memorial Day...and while we were there Ella said, "Oh look these are restaurant flies". They were not the typical house fly they were the smaller fruit fly type flies. Then she finished her thought with, "they are fancy".
Russell is really connecting now. Everyday this week I have been able to just sit and talk to him and he is trying to make sounds back and the whole time doing it with an adorable smile on his face. I just can't get enough of this little guy!
Gordon was playing in the backyard the other day and then ran inside and said, "Mom I found a turtle!" At first I thought he was joking...but them he said, "Mom I am serious...come see". And sure enough there was a little turtle. We looked online and found out it was a Big Bender Slider turtle. (They are a water turtle). We asked the kids for some suggestions on names and Ella quickly came up with Cactus. We had thought maybe we could keep her...but after doing some reading online so we would know what kind of habitat she would need we decided the best thing for her was to let her go. So yesterday morning the kids and I set her free again. It was fun to have her for a day.
Love you all SO much!
