2/7/09

Ella went shopping with Taylor the other night and when they came back Taylor had one ear bud in his ear and Ella was holding one up to her ear they were rockin' out to the iPod. And Ella really was. She was dancing in Taylors arms. She has really become the little dancer. When we went to the store the other day there was background music playing and she started to dance. Any commercial or part of a show that has remotely any tune she raises one little hand into the air and starts to swing the rest of her body :)

As you know Gordon likes to sing. This week we were walking out to the car. He was a little bit behind me and I heard him starting to sing. He was going full steam but the words I caught were "temple" and "prayer". :)

I have been REALLY tired lately so in the afternoon I usually rest by laying down on the couch while Gordon naps. He didn't nap one day this week but I thought I could still at least lay on the couch while he played around the house. As soon as I layed down Gordon ran over to me and said "NO mommy! Sit up" All the while raising his arms up in the air to show me how I was to do it. He was repeating it over and over again. I tried to explain that mommy was tired. Not good enough for him. "No mommy open your eyes, sit up!" was his response :)

Every time I go to get Ella out of her crib, after a nap or in the morning as soon as I open the door she quickly takes her pacifier out and with her arm stretch out all the way is reaching to hand it to me. Her "deal" to get out of the crib as fast as possible.

The other day I was buckling Gordon into his carseat and he looked up at me and said "Mommy, I am Superman" I responded with what (since we have never talked about Superman with Gordon-I thought I miss understood him) he said again clear as a bell. "I am Superman". I have no idea where he heard about Superman, but he informed me that he was him about 6 times that day :)

Gordon found Taylors old cell phone. It was charged so when Gordon pushed the buttons the lights worked. He thought that was pretty cool. He was talking up a storm to someone. I asked him Gordon who are you talking to. He turned at looked at me and said with a smile, "It's Gram-papa" He proceeded with the conversation with 'grandpa' he asked "how are you? and then paused and said 'Oh Great".

We love you all and miss you lots! Wish we could see you all more than we do.
