Thanks again to G&G Earl for watching the kids last week so we could go on the cruise. IT WAS FABULOUS! Great to have a little rest and time with my sweetheart. :)
While G&G Earl were here they got Gordon a colors and shapes game. And he LOVES it! He is starting to notice shapes everywhere. I was drinking a glass of apple juice the other day and Gordon was watching me very closely....and then when I finished he said "hey that's a hexagon!" And sure enough the bottom of our glasses is a hexagon. It is fun to see the things that he is learning and the little light bulb go off in his head :)
When we ride in the car Ella has a little cell phone she likes to play with. She is such a gabber. I looked back at her the other day when I was at a red light and she was holding the phone up to her ear using just her shoulder, no hands, and saying "dada....dada...bye-bye" over and over again. It was adorable!
Gordon's new love is to say, "tickle my back". As soon as Taylor walks in the door after his day at school Gordon will run to the door and say "tickle my back" and then run and hide.
Last night while Taylor was at priesthood session Gordon and I made him a card. I wrote the message for him and at the bottom I signed his name. He was looking at the different words and then he made the 'g' sound and said "hey this says Gordon!" (pointing at his name at the bottom). We are going to start writing our letters the week :) And of course start with writing his name :)
We watched conference yesterday on the tv and Gordon walked up to the tv and was kind of mumbling to himself "oh-prophet, prophet, prophet" as he walked away from it. Things are sinking in and it is fun to watch. :)
Ella is our little walker now! She only crawls to get things that are under the table. Other than that she walked everywhere and she looks so cute doing it! (thanks to G&G Earl) she has a new bunch of little summer dresses and I love putting her in a dress everyday now that she is walking it is not frustrating for her to wear dresses. She is so beautiful! And she is becoming a little sting-bean. With all the walking around she has begun to shred the pounds. We love our little angel!
We love you all too!!! And we have plans to come and visit G&G Nielsen in about a week and a half and we are so excited! LOVE YOU ALL!!!
