Here are some fun stories for the week. And G&G Earl we had so much fun with you this week!!! Thank you for coming to visit we hope you can visit often! :)
Gordon was playing in the bathroom sink like he often does. He had been in there for awhile. Then he comes out talking to himself and came over to get a kitchen chair. I thought to myself he is up to something. He dragged the chair over to the kitchen sink grabbed the soap, still mumbling something. Climbed down, put the chair back and said, "ah more soap". A resourceful little boy.
Ella really is getting into eating "people" food. If I am eating something she is so offended if I don't share. She had a whole lot of Spaghetti this week. And some potato soup. It is nice that she will eat what I make for dinner....now Gordon is another story :)
I went to Ross last night to let the kids look at the toys for fun. Gordon loved it! He found a, you'll never guess, truck with cars on it. :) He was rolling it all around the store. We had been there for awhile and he said "Mom let's go" I thought great I don't need to pry him away he is ready on his own. So I said okay lets go. He then was following behind me with the truck saying "lets go, lets go" pushing the truck the whole way. I then had to explain that the truck is not ours and we needed to put it back. He was surprisingly okay with it. He said "put it back" and then hopped in the stroller :) I was glad that he was cooperative.
I have been trying to teach Ella a few things in sign language. We did it with Gordon and it was super helpful! I have tried to teach her 'milk', 'finished', and to wave hello. She has really picked up on the milk one. She does it when she wants any kind of food, not just milk....but hey it is a start. And it is adorable to watch her get so excited as she makes the hand motion. And she has really gotten into waving hello (all of this within the last couple of days) it is exciting to see her pick up on these things. As time goes we hope to add a few more words to her vocabulary :)
We decorated for Christmas this week (see our blog for pictures). Gordon helped me with the ornaments on the tree. He loved every min of it! His favorites are the jingle bells and the candy canes. And he hasn't eaten one....yet :)
We love you all and think of you often. We keep you in our prayers, we love you!
