This week Gordon has really gotten into the Harmonica. I think it helped that he has watched "A Chimpmunk Christmas" a few times and Alvin plays a harmonica. Well with the new excitement I saw Gordon playing it all around the house. And one afternoon he bent down and put the harmonica in Ella's mouth and said "blow". He then proceeded to teach her how to play a harmonica (which she just sat and stared at him).
Gordon was having a hard time eating his dinner and then the worst possible thing happened. He dropped his fork. And mom was being stubborn and would not get it for him. I wanted him to climb down and get it for himself. Then Dad came to the rescue! Dad sat down on the floor next to his fork and asked Gordon "what should we do? Do you think we should use a Mouse-ka-tool?" And then they both called for Too-talls. And there were three tools. They choose the tongs to help them pick up the fork. Gordon was loving every min of it! Thanks Taylor for being a wonderful dad and a great example for me!
We have a framed picture of Grandma and Grandpa Nielsen up in the family room. Gordon loves to look at it. And the other day he was playing in the family room and ran over to the picture and moved it slightly. Then stepped back and looked at it. He moved it again just slightly then looked again. Then continued to play. I realized that he had moved the picture so it was placed in just the right spot so grandma and grandpa could 'watch him play'.
I may have mentioned this one before I can't remember. Gordon loves the Jingle Bells on the tree. We sing Jingle Bells ALL THE TIME! And it was fun to watch him at Disneyland this week on "it's a small world" because while it is decorated for Christmas they also sing that song on the ride. He was loving every min of it!
Ella pulls herself to a standing position on furniture. She doesn't do it all the time, but she is doing it more often now. She still isn't a fast crawler. (she get were she want to go, no doubt). She is just a curious little girl these days.
All in all, life is great. We sure love you all! Know that we think about you all often.
