Today it was just about time for Gordon to take a nap. I gave him a few min warning. I saw him go into his room and then he came out and shut the door (which he never does). Then he looked at me and said "Mommy, no nap, Mickey is Sleeping SHHH". He really is getting very creative on his stalling :)
Ella is really getting good at crawling. I will see her in one place and then I turn around and she is in a different room. She is also starting to pull herself up on furniture now. Usually when I go to get her out of her crib in the morning and after naps she is standing up and chewing on the side. (this time I have a plastic covering over the side so hopefully no need to touch up :) (wink wink-Mama Earl)
Gordon LOVES to help me. If I am cooking he is helping me cook, he gets me a diaper when I need it and then will throw them in the trash, and today I was cleaning the bathrooms and the whole time he was saying "my turn, my turn" Hopefully this helpfulness lasts a long time :)
I went to go visit a friend this week whos little girl has not been feeling well. And Gordon had to bring his harmonica to play her a song. It really brighten up her day :)
We all went to drop Taylor off at the airport this week. And Gordon was so excited to go and see the planes. Then after Taylor left he began to cry....A LOT! He had in his head that we were all going to go on a plane. I explained that Daddy was going this time, but that we would be getting on a plane soon with Grandma and Grandpa Nielsen. he got very excited and that was that, or so I thought! He was fine until we pulled into our parking lot and he started crying again saying, "no see Grandma and Grandpa". It is so hard to explain to a little one the concept of time :) We are working on it. (we have made a count-down chain)
Ella has a new love. She LOVES to grab Taylor's nose. Well and just about anything on his face as far as that goes. He is a little scruffy (due to finals) and she thinks that is fun. His hair is also another favorite. She loves her daddy!
We are SOOOO excited that we get to see you ALL so soon!
We can't hardly wait (especially Gordon)
