We missed a week. Hope you forgive us :)
Gordon likes to be barried under all of his stuffed animals. And he has me do it often. It started at Grandma and Grandpa Earls house with there bears, and now the jungle animals work nicely. He would do it all day if I would.
We went to the WIC office and Gordon saw that I was getting weighed and he wanted to get weighed too. He ran from across the room and jumped on the scale. He is 34 pounds now. And Ella is 16. And I am....well lets just say I am pleased, but I do have some toning to do. :)
I am loving this new apartment...but Gordon has found it comes with some adjustments. When it is time to nap it takes more effort on his part. His window looks out onto the park now and he can hear the kids playing, also his toys are now at arms length. Needless to say it took him an hour to fall asleep yesterday. Poor guy, today has gone much better....
We dropped Taylor off for an interview today and while we were waiting we headed up to the temple to walk around. Gordon found a sign with letters on it. So I thought lets practice. I asked him, " Can you find any O's and he started to point them all out. -there were several-. then we went to S and T and E. I was a little surprised how well he did. It has been awhile since we really worked on our letters. But he is picking it up quickly. :)
-It was one of those moments for me this morning about how grateful I am to be a mom. It really is the best job! I was there at the temple with my little boy (and ella was sleeping) and it just hit me how great the whole plan is. I am so glad to be a part of it.
Ella is growing so quickly!!! She is getting her little personality it is fun to watch! And ELLA SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!! And for real! No feeding right before I went to bed. I put her down at 9 and she slept till 7:30. It was FABULOUS! And Gordon didn't wake up either. I woke up at 6:40 feeling so rested...and then a rush of fear, I thought something must be wrong. That is a mom's life for you...moments of bliss then the fear creeps back in :)
Out or apartment window we can see other apartment window (rather than a huge sky scraper) and so we also can sometimes hear our neighbors. The other day, Gordon heard a baby crying. And he looked up at me and said "oh, baby don't cry". He was very concerned. I explained that the babies mommy would take care of him. Then he was back to playing. :)
