Another week in the Earl Home.
Gordon was playing with one of his friends Rylee the other day. He of course if very into cars and was very content just sitting and playing with the cars. Rylee wanted to play with Gordon...so she would take the cars he was playing with so that he would have to pay attention to her. It was getting a little frustrating for both of them, but by the end of the night they were playing great with one another. It was a blast to watch it all unfold.
Ella is getting much better at sitting up on her own. We have been practicing. I sit on the ground and have her sit in between my legs so I am there to catch her if she gets a little top heavy. She works on it for a little while and then she kicks her legs up in the air that makes her whole body side down a bit into a reclined position. Then she is happy. I thought it was a lucky on time thing....but she does it every time. She just likes to recline :)
Gordon and I were playing with some cards this morning. They have different colored backgrounds and different animals on them. I was trying to get him to match the colors. As I was holding up different cards to have him match he kept saying 'no' when the colors matched. I was getting a little concerned. I know he is good with his colors. And then I looked at the ones he had in his hand. They were all different colors but they all had snakes on them. He probably thought I was crazy.
When it is bed time Gordon is getting much better at cleaning up and getting in the 'getting ready for bed' mode. He will sing a song as he picks up his toys and then tell them all 'night night' and wave and say 'bye'.
Sorry not a ton of stories this week. Taylor is out of town and I didn't have the computer handy to write them down before I forgot. :) Next week will be better
Love you all!
