8/31/08

Well I am a slacker this week and didn't write things down throughout the week...so I am going only on memory. So here we go

They came to test the fire alarms in the building. The main fire alarm that is super loud, especially in the bedrooms. Well of course when they decided to do it both of the kids were asleep. Oh well I thought to myself, it was nice while it lasted. I went into Gordon's room and sat next to him so that when he woke up from the loud ringing I would be right there so he would not be worried. Well the fire alarm went off and a little flinch and then nothing. He slept right through it. And Ella too! My kids are amazing! (although if there was a real fire I would want them to wake up....but for today it was great)

Ella is really getting very good at sitting up on her own. She even now is starting to figure out ways to get places. I set her down on the ground the other night while I was making dinner and when I looked back at her she was in a totally different position and quite a ways away from where I had put her down. She will be cruisin' before we know it.

Ella officially has two teeth. Her bottom two front ones. And man, does she have a bite! WOW anytime our finger gets anywhere near her mouth she'll get yah.

Gordon is such a little stud! He surprises me all the time with just how good he is. He definitely has his little boy moments, but all in all he is a very obedient kid.

We stayed with "uncle caym" this weekend and Gordon helped him with the laundry. And played at the beach with 'caym'. Gordon loves his uncle caym.

Gordon is really loving being around so many friends. Now he is not as easily entertained at the park. If there is not a friend out there when we go down we go to every friends house in the area until we find one that is home and invite them out to play. He is quite the social little guy these days. I think he is really going to enjoy pre-school.

Every morning we have been practicing our letters, color, shapes, and numbers. He is really getting very good at recognizing them. And now he asks to work on them in the morning. He knows when Ella goes down for her nap it is letters time :) It is so cute to watch him as his little mind is at work.

We sure love you all and think about you all the time!
Thanks for all of your great examples!
LOVE YOU!
