Ella started eating solids this week. We pulled out the Oatmeal cereal and she loved it! We have also tried squash and that was a success. We will keep you posted on the newest tastes and how they are going. (oh we did let her suck on a popsicle the other night too...I wish we had the camera her face was priceless. It was like we were making her eat a sour lemon...but after her face went back to normal she would lean in for more)
At church last week. Gordon had dropped a piece of paper on the floor and ran away. Taylor asked him if he would come back and pick up the paper and put it in the garbage, Gordon turned back towards Taylor and the trash slowly. He then put his head down so his chin was just about touching his chest with his shoulders slumped over and started walking VERY slowly toward the trash going heal to toe, heal to toe. Both Taylor and I had to try very hard to keep our laughter in.
If you have checked out our blog recently (www.earlfamilyblog.blogspot.
I took the kids to the Mar Vista park this week and it was getting close to heading back home time so I looked over at Gordon and said 5 more min. His response was OK. Then I said a little while later. Two more min. Again he responded OK. Then I said, Gordon it is time to go back home now. And his reply this time was, "No, no mom...one more minute". I thought this was extra cute because he usually just says 'one more'. Hearing him add on the word minute to the end was adorable. So I agreed with Gordon that we could stay one more minute.
Ella has really become a mama's girl in the last little while. Whenever I set her down to do something she is content for the first little while and then she just starts to squawk. And she will do so until I stop what I am doing and make my way towards her . Instantly she stops squawking and raises her arms. A girl who knows what she wants. A mom to hold her all day.
Taylor and I were able to do sealings tonight. And how wonderful it was to be there and to refresh on all of the many blessings the temple brings into our lives. And the one of eternal families was definitely on my mind. I am so grateful to be a part of an eternal family. And to have had the blessing of getting sealed to a wonderful man who I have been able to bring children into this world with. To have our own family. What an amazing gift, that tonight I was reminded just how great it is. I am so thankful to all of you who are my eternal family. For your love and support and your wonderful examples for how an eternal family can and should be. Thank you! We love you all!!!
