There were other very cute things that happened this week, but I forgot to right now things to remind me of them....I will be better at writing them down as I go so I don't forget :) Love you all!
Gordon:
He pooped for he first time on the toilet! He had some gas and then said poo poo and he was running to the bathroom. We made it and he went fabulously. He will periodically ask to sit on the toilet but no second report as of now.
Gordon got his first bee sting on Saturday. We were out at the pool and the little thing got him right on the arm. He is a trooper, he didn't cry. he just said "ow ow ow" over and over again. No reaction, which I was very grateful for.
Also on Saturday, Gordon fell in the pool (it was a big day for him). He was playing on the step and slipped off for a moment. I was holding Ella but was able to snatched him out and Taylor had already jumped in the water to help, it was a family affair.
Gordon was playing in the tree house and he looked out the window and waved (pretty typical) then when he was at the top of the slide he yelled down "hi, ella!" It was adorable!
He is such a great helper around the house. He helped me clean the kitchen today. He helped sweep, wipe off the counters, and empty the dishwasher.
Gordon has been really enjoying the zip line in the backyard. We help him hold on and he goes down all by himself. he loves it!
Every day when Taylor gets home from work Gordon starts running around the house and Taylor chases him. It is great having Taylor home so early!
Gordon's favorite shows as of late- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, My friends Tigger and Pooh, Super Why, Peter Pan, Cars, Jungle Book
I was bathing Ella down stairs and I asked Gordon if he would like to help. So he ran up stairs (which I thought meant he was not in the mood to help- which was fine). Then next thing I know grandma Earl is yelling down the stairs saying that Gordon was trying to carry a little red chair down stairs. Then I realized he ran up stairs to get a red chair (what he uses as a step stool to reach everything) and was trying to get it down stairs to help bath Ella. Good thing Grandma Earl saw him or we could have added Gordon falling down the stairs and probably breaking a limb story :)
Ella:
The past few nights when she wakes up she has been sucking her thumb. I wish I had my camera handy. It is precious. And we wouldn't mind if she became a thumb sucker. She will not take a pacifier so this will make our lives much easier if she sticks with it.
On Sunday she wore an all light blue linen dress with matching shoes, and a flower in her hair. She looked beautiful.
Each week that goes by she seems to get more interactive. She will talk back and track things...It is really fun.
She is starting to get ticklish. I will tickle her and she will kackel laugh, adorable!
She rolls to one side and now she will wiggle too. I set her on the ground the other day and I came back and she had gone from facing south to almost facing north.
I Love these kids!
